Brian Bukantis of Roseville, MI writes:

"Greetings from Detroit! A friend e-mailed me the address for the Morgus site, and I have to say, it brought a smile to my face the minute it loaded. Although I have not fully checked it out yet (haven't visited the pix pages, etc.), I intend to do so later this evening in the pleasure of my own home 'laboratory'.

... I definitely liked Morgus, and was very sad when he left Detroit airwaves. Here in Detroit, he was a mainstay on Channel 2 where he hosted "Morgus & The Weather" - a five minute show every weekday at 5pm. (webmaster note: actually, it was 5:55 pm) He went on to host a late night horror program on WXYZ-TV (Ch. 7 - "Shock Theater") and then vanished into thin air.

Believe it or not, somewhere, I have a reel-to-reel audio tape of one of his Channel 7 programs. If I recall correctly, it was a New Year's Eve program.

Oh, to have a VCR back in those days!!

Anyways, the website is great and LONG OVERDUE.

Thanks! Brian Bukantis"

Brian went way beyond the call of duty and hunted for those 30 + year old tapes. Eventually, he located them in his mother's uninsulated attic. Lovingly, he managed to extract a few minutes of audio from the brittle ribbons of mylar, and we now proudly present the first example of the Detroit-originated Morgus Presents! In this unusual episode, aired at New Year's in (probably ) 1965, the Doctor didn't perform an experiment - he merely sat back and watched the movie along with the viewing audience. At the end, he's heard singing a rousing(?) version of Auld Lang Syne to usher in the new year.

Thanks Brian! You will be rewarded for your diligence in a most Morgusian manner...
