Sevin Varieties of Morgus![]() Now with ![]() Ronnie Sevin, Jr. is one of a third generation of Morgus fans, having grown up watching Morgus during the late 80s. He found this web site after watching Morgus Presents! one Saturday night, and by 4:00 P.M. the following Monday, he had sent this in! Now there's a REAL Morgus fan! Here's a little bit of what he had to say: Chuck, Let me say again how pleased I was to discover your Morgus site. I've been a fan of Morgus since his show was revived in 1987 on WGNO, Channel 26 New Orleans. I was twelve at the time, and I'd grown up hearing stories of Morgus from my mother. As a child who grew up watching reruns of those great Horror classics from Universal, "Morgus Presents" was a dream-come-true. I remember sitting in the living room with my mother and my brother, watching the premiere episode (the movie was "The Creature From the Black Lagoon", the last great Universal classic). Needless to say, I was hooked. I then began to clip and save every photo and article that I could find on the good doctor Over a decade has passed since I first discovered Morgus. I'm now 23 (it's amazing how Morgus managed to span the years, touching my generation and yours) and I'm rediscovering him all over again. The majority of my Morgus collection is now gone, having been lost or destroyed when we moved in 1989...all that remains are two photos taken from TV-FOCUS back in '88, a fuzzy Xerox of Morgus and Chopsley from their "House of Shock" days, and Chopsley's autograph. I'm glad that WGNO has decided to rerun "Morgus Presents", and I'm even more thrilled to find that there is someone else out there who still remembers Morgus.
A friend of science, Thanks, Ronnie, for your enthusiastic email and for sending in this picture for the rest of us to enjoy! We're finding out that there are a lot of us out here. We've just previously not had a means to meet each other. In the months since I first heard from Ronnie, he has become a frequent and most helpful contributor to this website. He's a very creative and talented young man, as evidenced by the following examples of his work:
